Avocent
Worked with five competing companies from three countries in the field of routers, servers, and displays. These companies were the foremost providers in the consumer and industrial space. Avocent was created from these mergers after we negotiated through a federal probe and regulatory review of antitrust and possible FCC violations due to these transactions. Launched Avocent, restructured internal dynamics between competitive and redundant elements in the five original companies. Developed internal management plan and execution for eliminating conflict in team, product, and services. Developed new strategy for products and offerings which leverage technological advances, enabling the use of the Internet and wireless technology to create new markets and opportunities for the core technology. This strategy led to a revolution in business wireless capabilities for internal communication and magnified the availability of data and information, creating products which reestablished company as the leader in this field. Because of this strategy, which we created and executed, Avocent has seen exponential growth since the mergers and has distanced itself from all competitors.
