Nantucket Nectars

NEC Technologies
Working with the Chairman of NEC Technologies, launched efforts for the company to move into the consumer electronics market. Analyzed opportunity and competition in this marketplace, developed strategy and executed strategy to infiltrate mass merchandising retailers. Initiated mass merchandising to clubs such as BJs, etc., and discount specialized distribution centers such as CompUSA. Positioned brand and all point-of-sale programs to execute a powerful education and marketing effort in these large-box retailers. The issue in large-box retailers is a lack of expertise at the point of sale. So the packaging and point-of-sale experience must be more powerful and dynamic. Designed dealer compensation programs that were performance based. Repositioned company to work with educational and governmental institutions to elevate the company’s image and the company’s responsibility. Developed NEC Technologies’ efforts to work in partnership with museums, schools, research labs, and hospitals. Reengineered distribution network and support and incentive programs. Designed new sales training tools and mechanisms. Helped establish, source, and negotiate with manufacturing partners to provide novel products that fit the company’s image.
